Open Access Policy

 

The Journal of Islamic Law and Sharia Economics (JHIES) applies a full open access policy under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. All articles are freely available to readers and authors, with no Article Processing Charges (APC).

Under this license, users are permitted to:

  • ❧read, download, copy, print, search, distribute, or link to the full text of the article without prior permission from the publisher or author; and
  • ❧remix, transform, and build upon the article for any purpose, including commercial use,

provided that (a) appropriate attribution is given to the original author and source of publication, and (b) any derivative work is distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

This policy aligns with the spirit of the Budapest Open Access Initiative and the Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing, both of which call for the removal of barriers to access to scholarly literature.

Copyright for each article remains with the author. Authors grant JHIES a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and index the article, while retaining the right to share their work independently through a DOI, institutional repository, or personal website.

Users and institutions are permitted to automatically index or harvest content (metadata and full text) through digital tools or indexing services. Where additional data or materials are referenced in an article, authors are encouraged to deposit them in an open repository and make them citable, in order to enhance the reproducibility of research.
