Peer Review Process

MAPAN: Manajemen Pendidikan dan Analisis applies a rigorous peer review process to uphold academic standards and ensure the integrity of published scholarly work. This process includes the following stages:

  1. Manuscript Submission
    Authors submit their manuscript through the journal's online management system (Open Journal System/OJS).
  2. Initial Screening by the Editor
    The editor conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript's alignment with the journal's focus and scope, the completeness of its structure, and its compliance with publication ethics and the specified format.
  3. Reviewer Assignment
    The editor assigns two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's field of study. This journal applies a double-blind review system, in which the identities of the author and reviewers are kept confidential to preserve objectivity.
  4. Evaluation by Reviewers
    Reviewers assess the manuscript based on the following academic criteria:
    • •Novelty and originality of the topic
    • •Contribution to the field of educational management or educational analysis
    • •Appropriateness of the research methodology and design
    • •Data analysis and interpretation of results
    • •Adequacy and relevance of references
    Based on this evaluation, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

    • •Accepted with minor revision
    • •Accepted with major revision
    • •Rejected
  5. Editorial Decision
    The editor considers reviewers' comments and recommendations to reach an initial editorial decision.
  6. Author Revision
    If revisions are required, the author must revise the manuscript according to the reviewers' feedback and include a written response detailing how each point of feedback has been addressed.
  7. Re-review (if necessary)
    For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.
  8. Final Decision
    The editor makes a final decision based on the review outcomes and the quality of the revision: acceptance, request for further revision, or rejection.
  9. Production and Publication
    Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage, which includes copyediting, layout, and proofreading, before being officially published online and/or in print.
