Peer Review Process

MAPAN: Journal of Educational Management and Analysis implements a rigorous peer review process to maintain high academic standards and ensure the integrity of published work. The peer review process follows these steps:

1.  Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system (Open Journal System/OJS).

2.  Initial Editorial Screening

The editor conducts a preliminary assessment to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to the required formatting, structure, and ethical standards.

3.  Assignment of Reviewers

The editor assigns two independent peer reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the manuscript’s subject area. JHIES uses a double-blind review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure impartiality.

4.  Peer Review Evaluation

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on several academic criteria, including:

o  Originality and novelty of the topic

o  Contribution to the field of Educational Management or Educational Analysis

o  Methodological soundness and research design

o  Data analysis and interpretation

o Relevance and sufficiency of references Reviewers then provide a recommendation:

·      Accept without revision

·      Minor revision

·      Major revision

·      Reject

5.  Editorial Decision

The editor considers the reviewers’ comments and recommendations to make an initial editorial decision.

6.  Author Revision

If revisions are required, the corresponding author must revise the manuscript accordingly and submit a point-by-point response to each comment raised by the reviewers.

7.  Re-review (if necessary)

For substantial (major) revisions, the revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for a second round of evaluation.

8.  Final Decision

Based on the reviewers' assessments and the quality of the revision, the editor makes the final decision: accept, request further revision, or reject.

9.  Production and Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production phase, which includes copyediting, layout formatting, and proofreading before being officially published online and/or in print.
